JobCentre Plus
The job centre can usually be found on most city high-streets and is where people go to find employment, claim jobseeker's allowance, and get free careers advice. The job centers are government funded and were formally known as The Employment Service, until the Employment Service and the Social Security offices were merged in 2002 to form the JobCentre Plus. The JobCentre helps people who face barriers to gaining employment, such as disabilities, to find employment.
