Here are some sample interview questions that you are likely to be asked during a job interview.
Q. Tell me about yourself.
A. This is a question would face in each and every interview. Be prepared for this question adequately. Your answers should focus on your career.
Q.What are your strengths and weaknesses?
A. Emphasise on your positive attributes associated with your previous job.
Q. Why do you want to leave your current job?
(Why did you leave your last job?)
A. Don't bad mouth about your previous employers. Also, don't tell them that you want more money. Tell them that you want a career move.
Q. What do you know about our company?
A. Do enough research about the company, its working style, the products and services, they offer in advance. Go through the company's website. You will be able to respond this question very easily.
Q. What are the accomplishments which gave you satisfaction?
A. Emphasise on some of the project which you have completed successfully. Focus more on achievements, and not on rewards.
Q. Why should I hire you?
A. Stress the positive attributes you have for the present requirement. Emphasise on your previous achievements. If you have any credentials regarding your achievements, show them.
Q. What makes you want to work hard?
A. Although materials things, such as hikes, bonus would come into your mind, tell the interviewers that it is achievement.
Q. Explain how you overcame a major obstacle?
A. The interviewer is try to estimate your problem solving skills. Be very specific in your reply.
Q. Where do you see yourself five (ten or fifteen) years from now?
A. Explain about your career ambitions, considering your qualification, experience and achievements. It is not a bad idea to say that you want to be in top management team. Again be polite in your answer. No dark sarcasms.
Q. What qualifies you for this job?
A. Don't repeat the things you have mentioned in your resume again and again. Rather focus on your achievements in the past, qualifications and your positive attitude.
